This system has some good qualities like it sounds great, can turn up really loud, sturdy design, and a good price. It also has some pretty substantial flaws. For one the power button in on the back of the sub box and the remote that comes with it does not have a power button, so if the sub is on the floor or under the desk, where it should be, it's a real hassle to turn it off and on. The remote also sometimes has the opposite effect, when I try to lower volume, base, or treble it will raise them. So sometimes when I am trying to lower the volume it makes it worse then I have to walk up and change it myself. I have no idea why it does that.

Bought these speakers couple of months ago and I couldn't be happier. These are IMHO the best 2.1 speakers you can get for the money. I did a lot of research before I chose these. I was impressed by the specs. Most 2.1 computer speakers have ~10% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion); these are rated at < 1% THD. Many computer speaker systems have a compromised range for sound frequency (Ex. 40 Hz - 16kHz); these are rated @ a full 20 Hz - 20kHz. Many computer speakers have plastic housings; the Eagle Arions have wood enclosures for better resonance. They sound great. Mind you, they are not good enough to replace a high-end 5.1, 7.1 system but if want to fill up a room with really good sound these are the ones to choose.
Some things to keep in mind if you're thinking about buy a set of these:
*	Because the satellite speakers have two 3-inch mids and a tweeter they are not small. So, if desktop space is at a premium they may not work.
*	The satellite speakers also do not come with any speaker covers. So, if you have little kids with pokey fingers - be careful.
*	Lastly - The connection cords are short. I like to keep my sub-woofer on the floor and the satellite speakers above my desktop, so the cords would not reach with this configuration. However, this was easily fixed with a quick trip to the local Home Depot because the speakers use standard RCA connectors
Overall, these are great speakers; you won't find a better set for the money - even double the purchase price!

The sound is amazing! I never thought $50 could buy me a set like this. I was just looking for a average 2.1 speakers and didnt want to spend too much on it. Then I found Eagle 504 2.1 and I expected average sound quality from this unit since it's only $50. But I was wrong about the sound...this set can definitely put out some quality sound that other name brand speakers hardly have. I've owned a $110 Altec Lansing 2.1 and a $90 Logitech and Eagle 504 surely delivers the best sound among all three sets. It's just my opinion but I think that's what normal folks like me would think. BTW, the speakers are mostly made of wood instead of plastic, which is a very nice touch. :-)

I have different cell phones for different events. This one we got last week for recreation as some of our others shorted out in wetter weather (playing in snow, calling outside in rain while hiking, or next to waterfalls, etc). It survived last week's trip ok, BUT...there are some things I don't really care for in this phone. Mind you I have only used this thing a few days, but that's plenty enough time to get on my nerves : ) Please correct/offer suggestions.

In my Mythic phone, I can rearrange everything, and relegate those uber-intrusive AT&T contacts into other groups. So, I have an AT&T group on that phone, with all those AT&T contacts in them. Meanwhile, my personal contacts, who are the reason I buy phones in the first place, have the default contacts list to themselves NICE!

Yes, AT&T..I buy my phones to talk to my family and friends, not you.

On the Tundra, however, the seven (7) AT&T contacts take up an entire screen full and you can't relegate them away to a different group. About all you can do is name everybody you know with a number prefix like `1poobear', in your contact list to list them first. Yes, a hack! On a `premium' phone!

You can create a group for those pesky AT&T contacts on your Tundra, but then you have two copies as nothing gets them out of `contacts'. You cant rename them, either, because you don't own them(!). You also cant create a list for your personal numbers and set that list to display by default. Oh no no no. Apparently, AT&T believes your top priority contacts are AT&T, and its their cell phone, not yours, and they come before your family and your top priority is to shop at AT&T.

In many ways, owning a Tundra is more like renting than owning. But I don't call it a Tundra. I call it "The Chess Phone" because Im always trying to figure out hacks to get it to do what the bare bones basic 2 year old phone its replacing can do with ease. Things like the contacts list problem, which as I write this I tried exporting to my sim card, in hopes of defaulting to that list only, but to no avail; all you can change for startup display screen is `wallpaper', not data source. *sigh*. The Chess Phone wins another round.

Then there is the camera. Somehow, the geniuses managed to squeeze sub-VGA out of 2 mega pixels. Is this a gag phone? At this point, some may justifiably conclude that the phone designers deliberately knocked themselves out to see which department could make this phone reek more. However, as someone with a penny-pinching mother-in-law, I feel from experience that it's more a case of a bunch of left over garbage and failed, half baked projects all tossed in and cooked under a nice looking, golden crispy crust.

I'm feeling a bit defeated. Dare I even try again to get The Chess Phone to name the photos it takes by date/time? Or getting the "World Clock" to show me time somewhere else besides LA, Chicago, and Atlanta? Or try again to cease its unending sonar ping every time someone leaves a message? Hey! I can't come to the phone right now! exclaims the silly human. But The Chess Phone begs to differ.

No. I decided instead to chill to a nice game of Pac-man...but within 3 minutes I'm kicked out. Why? Because its not a free game given to you as a way of saying `thanks for putting up'. Not free, a stinkin stupid 2D game. Not free, even though its welded to the phone.

That's right, you can't remove it from `your' phone.

Welcome to The Chess Phone.
